History
The coordination committee for safety at Aarhus University decided at its meeting on 3 June 2004 to purchase new exercise equipment for training in fire fighting. It was decided to start a systematic training of relevant staff and students at the Faculties of Science and Health Sciences.
It was also decided that the instructors for these courses should be recruited from among the employees at the two faculties. Karl Erik Holst of the Department of Chemistry and Erling Østergaard from the Dental School were asked to structure and launch the project.
At a meeting on 24 May 2007 in the coordination committee for safety at Aarhus University the Dean decided to make the fire fighting courses permanent.
