File Name: ks.grab
Selected Frame Nos: 30-400
Description:
Beginning
Figure appears and background appears using a 4 frame dissolve.
Placement and Movement:
Starting in upper left hand not quite in the corner. The selected frames are looped as many times as necessary to last 700 frames at one half speed. Primarily front view, but slightly toward the right side of the body. Figure slowly walking, angled so that she will eventually arrive at the lower right hand corner of the screen. As she walks, she gets bigger.
Speed of walk is slow, half the speed.
Effect:
No special effect
Colors:
At beginning her color and the background color are VERY close. As she walks the colors become more far apart. At two points in the walk (from frame 475-500 and from 550-600), there are dramatic color shifts of the form… the first lasting a second and the second lasting two seconds and returning to the original color slowly changing.
Transition to next board
The form in the corner disappears in a 4 frame dissolve – 220 more frames go by totalling 8.8 seconds before the next board starts.
File Name: cs.fourhands
Selected Frame No:Frame No. 2223 (it’s a freeze)
Description:
Placement and Movement:
There is no movement, just the effect below.
Effect:
Very quickly, two figures (duplicates), one partially behind the other facing front. Arriving on the screen from the right side at the middle point of the edge (they are coming over from Scene 3/ Screen 2/ Board 2). They are not moving, but are frozen images which are repeating across the screen from right to left… and as they go across they are also disappearing from right to left.
This should last 3 seconds which is a total of 75 frames.
Colors:
Colors on the frozen form change as it duplicates across the screen. Background color remains steady.
Transition to the next board
There are approximately 4 seconds of stillness, then the following forms start off screen and dance on.
File Name: cs.monkey and ks.monkey
Selected Frame Nos. cs.monkey: 1490-2100 / ks.monkey: 1480-2100
Description: Placement and Movement:Both figures are starting from left mid-screen. The two figures are placed one slightly behind the other (partly obscured) – the one in the foreground and slightly behind is ks.monkey and the one in background and very slightly ahead is cs.monkey (see diagram). They move towards the right, straight across the screen. After 100 frames, they disappear and return to the beginning (that’s a loop). They repeat this same 100 frames and the disappearance again (the same loop again). After this beginning they continue to the end of this 610 frames.
Speed is normal.
Effect:Nothing
Colors:The color of the background form/ figure changes after the two loops and it gets to the 400th frame. The other colors remain the same.
Transition finish
If the 620 frames does not take them off the end of the screen – they should then drift off (using camera pan)
File Name: ks.walk
Selected Frame Nos: 000-700
Description:
Beginning
Figure appears and background appears using a 4 frame dissolve.
Placement and Movement:
Starting in the middle of the screen, figure begins facing the left corner on a diagonal. Just let the movement run from that point.
Speed normal
Effect:
At eight points in the movement, the figure leaves a freeze of itself as it continues moving… creating a mosaic effect, through color. This effect happens at frame 40, 65, 75, 200, 225, 350, 450, and 500.
Colors:
The freeze keeps the color of the preceding movement, the moving figure picks up a different color as it leaves the freeze. Background remains a single color.
Transition to next board
This mosaic disappears in a 4 frame dissolve – the forms in the centre of the next board dissolve in over the next 4 frames.
File Name: cs.fourhands
Selected Frame Nos. 2023 - 2223
Description:
Placement and Movement:
One figure starts in standing position just to the right of center and remains still for 1 second at frame no. 2023 of the phrase material (25 frames) before beginning to move into a pose.
The moving into the pose is normal speed, the speed of the effect goes very quickly.
Effect:
A duplicate of this pose appears just behind the first, slightly to the side. These now frozen images repeat themselves across the screen from right to left… and as they go across they are also disappearing from right to left. It is slightly difficult to describe this effect – but what is most visible is the part of the body behind the front figure.
This effect lasts 75 frames (3 seconds) going across and off the board.
Colors:
Colors on the frozen form change as it duplicates across the screen. Background color remains steady.
Transition into the next board
The screen remains still, unchanged… for 3 seconds
File Name: cs.monkey
Selected Frame Nos. 2570-3545
Description:
Placement and Movement:
Figure comes into center screen with a 4 frame dissolve after the first 75 frames (3 seconds) of Scene 3/ Screen 1/ Board 3 (it’s an empty screen beforehand). Facing right front diagonal. Movement just goes from here.
Speed normal.
Effect:
Early in the sequence (the exact frame to be found), the figure extends its hands to either side two times – at the outermost extension of the second time a line is created from the fingertips to both edges of the frame. The line extends from the fingertips to the edge in 25 frames (1 second).
At the moment the line hits the edge of the frame, the area above this line changes to the color of the extension line. This has to be coordinated to happen with Screen One so that it causes the "loop" to happen the first time. This same effect will happen to cause the second loop on a different movement, to be found.
Colors:
Colors change as specified above –
Transition finish
The figure does a 25 frame dissolve and the background stays (split in two colors).
