In the tension between theory and practice I am working on the general re-orientation of human-computer interaction as an aesthetic discipline. It seems that a systematic account on sensuality and sense perception in interaction, as well as an account on the specifics of cultural formations in relation to development in use are fruitful intellectual resources. In a current project on technology-mediated creativity we have developed the concept "instrumentness" as an extension of the tool concept.

Ongoing work also addresses the relation between technology and erotic life.
