Tutorial and Emacs mode
- Matlab Primer:
An excellent introduction and tutorial to Matlab. Originally written for
version 3.5, but most things apply to version 5.1.
Also available in a browsable
HTML-version.

Emacs mode: Matlab mode for GNU Emacs. Allows you to
edit m-files with automatic indentation and run Matlab
inside your favorite editor :-) .
To use, insert this in
your .emacs file.

The MathWorks Software library :
Ftp Server with user-contributed M/MEX files plus MathWorks
contributed M-files with unreleased toolboxes, patches and bug fixes.
The archive of user-contributed software contains many useful
M/MEX files for a wide range of applications. Most contributions
are written for Matlab 4, but will run in Matlab 5 with no or little
modification. Take a brief look at the archive before you
start programming...what you need may already be there!

announcements of new products or features, tips
and tricks for Matlab users, tech-info and info on
MathWorks and third-party products. To sign up you need to
know the site license
number, which you can get by typing "ver" at the Matlab prompt.
