HyconExplorer for Java-enabled wireless
devices.
HyconExplorer/J2ME can be installed directly
from the phone. Just point your phone's Wap/Web browser to the
following URL: http://www.daimi.au.dk/~fah/hycon
and follow the instructions on the page.
For the best use experience make sure to set the proper permissions for the application, otherwise the phone will prompt for access to the network, GPS, and camera each time they are used (On Series60 phones permissions are set through the Symbian App. Manager: [Manager->Hycon MIDlet Suite->Settings]). |
HyConExplorer/J2ME requires a J2ME enabled device supporting MIDP 2.0 and CLDC 1.0. To use a Bluetooth GPS, the device must also support the Java APIs for Bluetooth (JSR-82). HyConExplorer/J2ME has been tested on Nokia 6600, Nokia 6630, and SonyEricsson K750i smartphones. Please note, that even though the application can be run in an emulator, all functions may not be available and the application is not guaranteed to function as it does on a real device.
