HyconExplorer/J2ME

HyconExplorer/J2ME Screenshot
HyconExplorer for Java-enabled wireless devices.
HyconExplorer/J2ME can be installed directly from the phone. Just point your phone's Wap/Web browser to the following URL: http://www.daimi.au.dk/~fah/hycon and follow the instructions on the page.

For the best use experience make sure to set the proper permissions for the application, otherwise the phone will prompt for access to the network, GPS, and camera each time they are used (On Series60 phones permissions are set through the Symbian App. Manager: [Manager->Hycon MIDlet Suite->Settings]).

Requirements

HyConExplorer/J2ME requires a J2ME enabled device supporting MIDP 2.0 and CLDC 1.0. To use a Bluetooth GPS, the device must also support the Java APIs for Bluetooth (JSR-82). HyConExplorer/J2ME has been tested on Nokia 6600, Nokia 6630, and SonyEricsson K750i smartphones. Please note, that even though the application can be run in an emulator, all functions may not be available and the application is not guaranteed to function as it does on a real device.

HyconExplorer Tablet Edition is designed to run on Tablet PCs, but can also be used on standard Microsoft Windows based laptop and desktop boxes.

Requirements

HyConExplorer depends Java and on two Java packages:

These packages should be installed prior to downloading the HyconExplorer Tablet Ed. Webstart package.

HyconBoard

HyconBoard SmartBoard Edition
User-tracker and awareness display for smartboards.
HyconBoard is packaged as a Java WebStart. To install the application just press the link above.

HyConBoard is developed with Java version 5. The application has been tested on the Windows platform. HyConBoard requires users to be online in order to display their positions and materials. Below a few links to are included to simulate online users and should be activated when the application is used.

Start: user1 ("yer"), user2 ("fotex"), user3 ("falck"), user4 ("de grumme").

Requirements

HyConBoard depends Java version 5:

HyconSC

HyconBoard SmartBoard Edition
Query editor and repository browser.

The prototype of HyConSC is available as a ZIP-archive. The ZIP-archive contains two files:
1. hyconsc.jar, the Java application
2. importedObjects.xml, a repository that can be used for testing

Extract the ZIP-archive to disk and execute the following command in the newly created HyConSC directory:
java -jar hyconsc.jar
From the file menu choose “Open Repository” and locate the importedObjects.xml file in the HyConSC directory.

HyConSC is developed with Java version 5. The application has been tested on the Windows platform and on Mac OS X.
