Today’s miniature is a view on Toronto, seen from the CN tower. Focus is placed where the sun fell through the city.
The CN Tower was the world’s tallest free-standing structure on land from 1975 until 2007.
View the shot on Flickr.

Such a cool technique! A miniature shot of people in raincoats at Niagara Falls. This photo is a Photoshop manip made to look like the macro-like miniature shots that can be done with tilt-shift lenses. The narrow DOF makes both the bridge and people seem very small and plastic-like.

This week I’ve been looking into developing a way for multiple users to interact with the HyConBoard application. This has been motivated by the need to run the board software on our interactive floors. This has resulted in an event architecture built upon the java AWT event queue allowing arbitrary input-systems to control the application e.g. mice, trackpoints on Bluetooth smartphones or object tracking systems. The first prototype built around object tracking mechanisms is ready to rock.
