The goal of the centre is to become one of the leaders within next generation computing environments where information and communication technology is everywhere, for everyone, at all times.

The centre develops new concepts and technology for pervasive computing based on a broad spectrum of media and equipment.

The centre contributes to the development of products and services as well as business models based on pervasive computing. Future plans involve support for start-up companies, e.g. in the form of business incubators, with science and development park facilities and access to venture capital.
