The better you learn the skills and knowledge as outlined in the Aims & Goals section, the better you (are likely to) do at the exam.
In short, you need to study (= read, make exercises, and reflect)! You will not "learn-by-osmosis" (as illustrated by "The Semantics Pillow")!
