Professor Susanne Bødker receives the SIGDOC Rigo Award

The Special Interest Group on the Design of Communication (SIGDOC) has awarded Professor Susanne Bødker and Professor Pelle Ehn, Malmø the Rigo Award 2008 .

The Rigo award is named after Joseph Rigo, the founder of SIGDOC. The award celebrates an individual's lifetime contribution to the field of communication design.

This talk will introduce Google Chrome and then dive into the motivation and the technology behind the new high performance JavaScript engine V8.

Madalgo core researcher Kurt Mehlhorn appointed honorary doctor

Kurt Mehlhorn, one of six core researchers at Center for Massive Data Algorithmics, was appointed honorary doctor in Science at the University of Aarhus.

The nomination took place at the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the University of Aarhus on September 12 2008.
