37.5 million DKK for innovation in pervasive healthcare

The pervasive healthcare research at the Department of Computer Science forms the IT foundation for a new focus area for which the Central Denmark Region has granted 37.5 million DKK. The money is to be used for interdisciplinary research and development projects, which involve researchers, representatives from the clinical world and private companies. On October 20-22 the Ninth Workshop and Tutorial on Practical Use of Coloured Petri Nets and the CPN Tools will take place at the Department of Computer Science, Shannon-building. Coloured Petri Nets and CPN Tools are now licensed to more than 7.200 users in 138 different countries. For the third time the Department of Computer Science hosts a Girls Camp for girls at the age of 15-19 taking place on October 13-15.
For three days the girls will experiment with different aspects of IT. They will visit a company which focuses on IT within healtcare, meet female IT professionals, attend a lecture on IT security and work with programming and system design.
