Well-attended Computer Science Day

More than 120 employees, students and people from outside the university were introduced to a broad range of the impressive computer science research activities presented in a tightly packed program.

One member of each research group provided examples of their present main activities and the listeners were able to ask elaborating questions.

Exhibition: The future electronic newspaper

How do we read news in 10 years from now? This is a question IT B.Sc. students have tried to answer in the product development project that ends their first year of study. Their solutions combine interaction design, physical design and rss-feeds in prototypes communicating news in homes, at bus stops and in cafes.

On Monday June 23, 2-5 p.m. the students show their prototypes and posters...

MADALGO Summer School on Cache-oblivious algorithms

On August 18-21, 2008, Center for Massive Data Algorithmics at the Department of Computer Science hosts a summer school on Cache-oblivious algorithms.

The school is targeted at graduate students, as well as researchers interested in an in-depth introduction to cache-oblivious algorithms.
