Organizing Committee

PhD Thomas Riisgaard Hansen is the leader of the mobile group working at the Department of Computer Science at University of Aarhus. He has a PhD from Aarhus focusing on mobile and pervasive computing within complex work environment. He has a number of papers within mobile and pervasive computing and has previously organized workshops at e.g. UbiComp. He is currently involved in a close collaboration with Nokia through the Nokia Innovation Network and is a Forum Nokia Champion. 

Dr Paul Coulton has over 15 years’ research and development experience in mobile systems and applications and is Senior Lecturer at Lancaster University. Paul is the leader of Mobile Experiences Group as part Forum Nokia Innovation Network which includes universities from around the world. The main focus of his current research surrounds innovative mobile software with a particular emphasis on mobile entertainment, such as games. Many of the research projects encompass novel uses of the latest technologies such as RFID/NFC, VoIP, cameras, and 3-D accelerometers in mobile phones and his projects have won a number of awards for innovation.

PhD Jakob Eg Larsen leads the Mobile Informatics Lab at the Department of Informatics and Mathematical Modelling at Technical University of Denmark (DTU). He holds a PhD from Technical University in Denmark, which studies Personal Information Management and methods by which tools can facilitate the processes involved in our everyday management of information. He is currently working with Mozilla Corporation on methods and interfaces to improve browsing the web on mobile devices, and he is also involved in a close collaboration with Nokia through the Nokia Innovation Network.

Kristian Kristensen is IT coordinator at the Department of Informatics and Mathematical Modelling at Technical University of Denmark (DTU). He holds a M.Sc in Telecommunications and is involved in activities in the Mobile Informatics Lab experimenting with novel mobile applications for large scale events, such as the Roskilde Festival. He is also involved in a close collaboration with Nokia through the Nokia Innovation Network.
