Send an email to the PhD Committee
The PhD committee is responsible for the PhD degree programme. It refers (via the department board) to the PhD study board and the central PhD committee of the Faculty of Science.
- The PhD degree programme:
- admission and study regulations
- planning of PhD courses and other PhD activities (in close cooperation with the teaching committee)
- The administration of PhD degree programme:
- qualifying exams and PhD defences
- maintaining records of PhD student activities.
- The information about PhD degree programme:
- providing information about the PhD degree programme, on the web and otherwise
- arranging meetings for local M.Sc. students, informing about PhD degree programme.
- The processing of PhD applications:
- making recommendations to the Faculty of Science regarding admission, transfer of merits, and assignment of supervisors from permanent staff
- making recommendations to the Faculty of Science regarding Faculty grants.
The committee meets at least four times annually.
