         COLOURED PETRI NETS AND DESIGN/CPN

                    IMPORTANT DATES
          Deadline for submissions: March 15, 1998
          Notification of acceptance: April 1, 1998
          Deadline for registration: May 1, 1998


The CPN workshop is Thursday-Friday. The fee is 1,000 DKK.
The CPN tutorial is Monday-Wednesday. It is free of charge
for people who participate in the workshop.

To help the planning of the events, we would be very
pleased if those interested in participation would fill
out the following short questionnaire and send it to:

       CPNworkshop@daimi.aau.dk

as soon as possible. It is sufficient to return one
questionnaire for each research group. Please consider the
possibility of bringing some of your students.

For workshop accommodation we have booked a number of rooms
at special rates. These will be allocated on a first come
first served basis. Hence, we recommend to book as early as
possible. For details see item 5 in the questionnaire below.

4) The first part of the 3-day tutorial will be
   introductory. The last part will cover some more
   advanced topics, such as:

   a) Timed CP-nets.
   b) Use of occurrence graphs (state spaces).
   c) Occurrence graphs with symmetries
      and equivalence classes.
   d) Animation of CPN models.
   e) Interfacing to other tools: Textual exchange format.

   Please indicate whether there are any of these
   topics that are of special interest for you.
   You may also propose additional advanced topics.
