Status: O I'm trying to use DesignCPN again after a long time of no use, and I seem to have forgotten one essential piece of the setup. I've got Design CPN 4.0.5 on a Debian woody machine, and I'm connecting to it on a Windows NT4.0 machine running XFree86 that I just installed yesterday. When I try to create a new aux node (a box, say), I get a box. Then I <> by the menu and try to type the word <> in the box. When I type the <>, the cursor changes to place creation mode. If I type <> as the text, I turn text mode off. IOW, the characters I type are interpreted as if I have the Alt key depressed. If I hold down the shift key, then I can indeed type text in the box, for Alt-T isn't a shortcut. I can open the ResourceAllocation model from the examples. When I tried to edit the text <>, I can type the uppercase T but the 3 is interpreted as Alt-3. I have used xmodmap to move to a Dvorak keyboard, but I switched back to the default map and got the same results. Has anyone seen anything like this? Is it a problem with X, with my window manager (twm at present, for that's what XFree86 came with), or with my configuration of Design CPN? Thanks.
