Binhex Files

A Binhex file is a textual encoding of a Macintosh binary file. The files typically have the extention ".hqx". It can be decoded with many freely available programs. The decoded file is often a self extracting archive. (They often have the extentions ".sea".) When you have decoded the Binhex file and get a self extracting archive, you can just double click on the icon and the archive is extracted automatically.
