By Air

We recommend one of the following three airports:
Aarhus (also known as Tirstrup)

From Aarhus Airport there is a 50 minutes bus ride to the Centre of Aarhus. There is a bus immediately after each flight arrival (see bus timetable). The final stop of the bus is the Aarhus Central Railway Station. The Scandic Hotel Plaza is situated 100 meters from this stop.

Billund

From Billund Airport there is a 90 minutes bus ride to the Centre of Aarhus (see bus timetable). In Aarhus you should get off at the Scandinavian Congress Center and from there it takes about 5 minutes to walk to the Scandic Hotel Plaza. Billund has a number of international connections such as Berlin, Frankfurt, London, Paris, and Milano.

Copenhagen (also known as Kastrup)

From Copenhagen Airport you can either continue by domestic flight to Aarhus Airport (approx. 30 minutes) or take a train to Aarhus (approx. 3 hours). Copenhagen can be reached from most larger European Cities.

By Train

There are good train connections from, e.g., Hamburg and Copenhagen. Please ask your travel agency for details.

This is the home of the CPN group and the rest of Experimental Computer Science at University of Aarhus. Please notice that the workshop site is located outside the University campus approx. 1 km from the other buildings of the Department of Computer Science. The entire department will move to this new location within the next 1-2 years.

How to Get From the Hotels to the Workshop Site

The workshop site is reachable from Scandic Hotel Plaza by foot (about 3/4 hour), bus no 7 (direction Charlottehøj, stop right after "Storcenter Nord"), bus no 26 (direction Skejby Sygehus, stop right after "Storcenter Nord") or taxi (about 70 DKK). From Sportshotellet take bus no 19 (direction Rutebilstationen) to Banegårdspladsen, then change bus to 7 or 26 and follow the directions above. Alternatively walk 500 m north to the Tivoli entrance and take bus no 4 (direction Frydenlund) to Vestre Ringgade/Vanggård Centret.

The taxi phone number is 8948 4848. People located at Scandic Hotel Plaza can just take a taxi from right outside the nearby railway station.
